Les O'Brien Memorial Gift

In remembrance of Les ”Cheifi” O’Brien, with the blessing from his family, our Centre holds a race in his honour.

The Les O’Brien Memorial Gift is a 100m Handicap Race involving all registered little athletes from Lavington Jindera Little Athletics Centre.

The Les O’Brien Memorial Gift is run over several weeks starting with the heats. The 1st and 2nd placing from each heat progresses to the semi-final, then the final race is the 10 fastest times from the semi-final races.

The Les O’Brien Memorial Gift Final Race is a very tightly contested race, with various ages starting at various distances.

It started in the 2017/2018 season and has only been held 3 times due to COVID-19 restrictions. It was amazing to see it return in the 22/23 season. Who will take the title this year?
